New Video Shows Strange Behavior of Ohio Teen Who Killed Boy: ‘Shocking Lack of Remorse’

New police body camera footage shows strange behavior during arrest an Ohio teenager convicted of intentionally crashing her car into a wall at 100 mph in July 2022, killing her boyfriend and his passenger.

Mackenzie Schirillo, 19, who a Cuyahoga County judge described as “literal hell on wheels,” was found guilty of four counts of murder and other charges in the July 2022 deaths of her boyfriend, Dominick Russo, and his friend Davion Flanagan.

Prosecutors said Shirila, then 17, crashed her Toyota Camry into a brick wall at a business in Strongsville, Ohio, in the early morning hours of July 22, 2022, to end her toxic relationship from Russ and Flanagan just happened to be together on the trip.

In the video published Strongsville Police Department, a police officer can be seen asking a handcuffed and tearful Shirila to get out of the police SUV.

“Hi Mackenzie, will you marry me?” – the officer is heard asking Shiryla. “I investigated the crash. You are under arrest aggravated murder, two counts.”

“No one will ask you any questions, no one will bother you,” he continued.

Shirila can be heard asking the officer to be careful with her bracelet in a strange gesture.

“Could you take this one off carefully so it doesn’t break the bracelet?” – Shiryla asks through tears.

“Understood,” replied the officer, adjusting his cuffs. “I’m not going to drag them, okay? I don’t want to hurt you.”

The officer then placed Shirila in another patrol car, where she appeared to try to rest and close her eyes during the ride to the station.

In 2023, Shirila was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison after prosecutors accused her of a “shocking lack of remorse”, but in a gesture of mercy the judge ordered the two terms to be served concurrently rather than consecutively.

She will be eligible for parole in 15 years instead of 30.

Russo and Flanagan were pronounced dead at the scene, while Shirila was unconscious and had to be extricated from the damaged car.
