The Cricket Control Board at India (BCCI) will choose the office carriers, including the President, during the next annual general meeting (AGM) on September 28. According to a recent report by Cricbuzz, senior BCCI officials and the BJP’s governing leaders will meet at Delhi on Saturday, September 20.
Roger Binny abandoned his role as President of the Cricket Control Council in India in July after crossing the age lid fixed by the Council’s constitution. Office carriers should not continue in their places after reaching the age of 70.
Binny had been elected as 36th BCCI president in October 2022. He replaced the former Captain of India Sourav GangulyThe three -year term was over. Binny was the only candidate for the position and was elected unnoticed.

The BCCI will choose the office carriers, including the president, but it is possible that candidates are not completed. According to Cricbuzz, senior BCCI officials are planned to comply with BJP leaders rulers in Delhi on September 20, where the key decision on leadership is expected to be made.
“Cricbuzz can reveal that a meeting of the main BCCI leaders with the BJP’s governing members has been scheduled in Delhi on September 20, when the important decision is likely to be made,” the report read.
The High officials of the BCCI will meet at the residence of the Minister of the Interior, Amit Shah, where the key details and the final form of the next BCCI leadership line are decided.
There have been speculation about who will take the next BCCI position, with several former cricketers in the mixture. Sourav Ganguly, Harbhajan SinghRaghuram Bhatt and Kiran are more in containment, but the final choice is still uncertain.
State associations can update their communications by September 19. The final announcement is expected on Saturday night in Delhi, and while the BJP is not usually involved in sports administration, they have been supporting leadership roles, which could be the same for the next BCCI head.
In 2022, Sourav Ganguly was eligible for another term as BCCI head, but the Council chose Roger Binny for the paper. The former BCCI President, N. Srinivasan, criticized Gangul’s three -year term.
The BCCI started interviews to designate new national selectors on Thursday, September 18. The process is headed online by the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), which currently includes Asok Malhotra and Jatin Paranjpe.
Sulakka Naik, formerly a member of the CAC, is no longer part of the Committee and the BCCI can designate a replacement. The CAC will select seven individuals in total.
Two members of the National Male Selection Committee, led by Act AgarkarHe will be appointed a member of the Junior National Committee and four for the National Women’s Committee. Recently designated selectors will have to take their roles following the AGM BCCI.
Applicants must have played a minimum of seven test games, or 30 first class games, 10 hate, over 20 first class games. Candidates should have retired from the professional cricket for at least five years and must not have served any Cricket BCCI committee for more than five years.
