Ryan Garcia says he doesn’t understand why Bill Haney is pushing VADA to be the drug testing agency for a rematch with Devin Haney. Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) asks if people are getting “some kind of money cut for using VADA.“
Garcia rejects VADA
Ryan says he will “never” use VADA again. That means if there is going to be a rematch between him and Devin (31-0, 15 KOs), a different drug testing organization will have to be used.
If Bill insists on just GO, his son could miss out on a lucrative rematch with Ryan. Devin claims this is the “biggest fight” in boxing today. However, resumption may not occur unless another drug testing agency is used.
Bill shouldn’t care which agency is used. As long as there’s evidence, that’s what’s important, especially if you’re worried about Devin hitting again. He looked bad as hell the last time he fought Ryan in 2024.
This would be bad for Haney because he is a vulnerable fighter with a chin problem and sooner or later he will be beaten by a less popular fighter than Kingry when he faces someone decent.
“It’s very strange why it’s always VADA. We can test other organizations. Because you have Bill (Haney) pushing only VADA. He never says any other organization, and it’s strange (that) he’s pushing a certain organization. You don’t want any kind of test? It all seems like the people who are pushing to use VADA are getting some sort of financial cut for people to use VADA. That’s just my opinion.” X on his question as to why Bill Haney is pushing so hard for VADA to be used for a rematch between him and Devin Haney.
“I’m clean, but I will never use this organization again,” Ryan said of how he will never use VADA again.
