The Nevada (NIAA) Association voted on Tuesday in order to adopt a new suitability policy that prohibits trans -sportsmen from sports. Now only biological women can compete in the category of girls in the state.
Nevada Stavros Anthony, Lieutenant, praised the decision in the statement.
“I welcome Niaa for taking this important and bold step,” said Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony. “Today’s vote sends a clear message: Nevada’s values and protects opportunities for athletes. Girls deserve equal conditions, and this action helps to guarantee that they can compete, grow and succeed without compromising safety and justice.”
Change means canceling from the previous policy of the state, which allowed Trans -sportsmen to compete in girls and women’s sports, which has led to many contradictory cases that have occurred in recent years.

The state’s constitution was revised in 2022, when the legislators -democrats voted in favor of adopting amendments to equal rights, which added gender identity to the list of diversity classifications protected by state legislation.
In October, the law summoned a national advertisement between Nevada University, Reno and his female volleyball players.
Players addressed the university administrators privately to express their desire to get rid of the match with the State University of San Khase, who compiled a trans -sportsman. But the university did not appreciate this request and instead released the statement Insist that he will play in the match. Nevada also insisted that his players were allowed to miss the competition without faced with the discipline.

The team ultimately got rid of the day before the match was scheduled, because of the fact that there are not enough players. However, the university stated that he had a discussion with players about potential “legal problems” that would arise if the match would not be lost.
“University administrators met with the Nevada volleyball team and discussed the scenarios that could happen if they decided not to play. One of the scripts discussed was spinning around possible legal issues for violation of the Nevada Constitution,” the statement, which was provided exclusively for Fox News.
The dispute between the players has grown into a national dispute, which even attracted the major political attention throughout the weeks that led to the November elections.
Meanwhile, at the youth level, a girl of high school Nevada, a 13-year-old Ava Chavez, told about the experience of the need to face trans-athletes in a letter she handed over to the state legislators last week.

“If the ball is on the other side of the network, they have the opportunity to swing and we have the opportunity to block. It can be dangerous to us, because when the blockers can’t cover the boy’s hit, I could get dangerous.
Another girl, 17-year-old Kendal Lewis, also felt that she needed to face a trans-volleyball player because of the state policy, she previously told Fox News Digital in an interview.
Now Nevada joins 26 other states in the United States, which prohibit trans -sportsmen to compete in sports girls and is the last to execute President Donald Trump’s executive order to address this issue.
