Star Lying house is its most valuable player too. This series would not work without too confident Cheadle’s portrait of Marty Kaan. Most of the show takes place from Marty’s perspective, and has an unusual relationship with the audience that lets him break the fourth wall and tell us all what he really thinks.

Marty is less convincing as a family man when his son, Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.), or his father, Jeremiah Kaan (Turman Glynn). But in the corporate world, Marty is the apex predator who has little moral qualifications and a willingness to do or say almost anything to close a deal. It’s true TV, and it’s always fun to watch Marty show what he can do with the power of his charisma alone.

Lying house‘An entire default built around Marty and his associates convince corporate clients that their services are needed. Some of those needs are valid, but Marty’s team is more concerned about their best benefit over their clients. And while there are occasions in the series where Marty pays the price for that method, it usually comes off Scot for free.

Marty and his closest friends do not have any qualifications about bringing business down if the result works in their favor. Even their own employers are a fair game, including former friends and enemies alike. There are not many people of good moral character on this show, but there is something very fun about watching Marty deceive rich people to give almost anything he asks back for very little. It’s corporate fleeing on a huge scale, and we love seeing it.
