Naomi Judd once shot in Larry Strickland over infidelity claims

Naomi Judd and Larry Strickland married for more than 30 years, weathering many storms throughout their relationship – including allegations of infidelity.

In 1995, Naomi produced a TV film about her life called Naomi & Wynonna: Love can build a bridgewhich included a scene where Naomi shot in Strickland after accusing him of infidelity.

“Well, it really happened, that’s all I can say,” said Strickland in chapter 2 after watching the clip. “That’s all I want to say. It happened.”

Despite their troubles, Strickland and Naomi stayed together until her death. While his suicide became a shock to fans, Strickland said she was struggling behind the scenes near the end of her life.

“There was a sofa, and in the last days he lay on that sofa. She couldn’t get off that sofa,” he remembered. “Towards the end of the last year of her life, it was almost every night she would be in a panic mode.”
