Alexandra Pelosi, daughter of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, called First Lady Jill Biden and invited “Lady McBiden” to reflect on President Biden’s legacy.

“If I were Lady McBiden, I would put on my big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husband’s legacy,” the former speaker’s daughter told Politico’s Jonathan Martin. column published on Sundaynoting that she speaks only for herself. “There aren’t many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi is one of them.”

Nancy Pelosi tried to talk to the president after his decision in late July to withdraw from the race, but “repeatedly received the same answer from the president’s top advisers: the answer is no,” according to a Politico column.

PELOSI SAYS IF HER AND BIDEN ARE ‘OK’: ‘YOU’LL HAVE TO ASK HIM’

Nancy Pelosi joined the co-hosts of “Morning Joe” in July, after a presidential debate, saying, “The president has to decide if he’s going to run,” despite Biden’s repeated assurances that he would stay in the race after several calls with Democrats and donors.

The media appearance was seen as another opportunity for the president to drop out of the race, which he did.

After Vice President Kamala Harris lost the election, Pelosi suggested Biden should have quit earlier. Biden has since expressed regret over the rejection and insisted he could have beaten Trump.

“She was told they weren’t over yet, don’t make any more overtures because he’s blaming her,” This was reported to Politico by a person familiar with the showdown between Pelosi and Biden’s aides.
