Bangladesh has appointed an unchanged 16-member squad for the next three-game T20i series against Pakistan, following the same players who recently won a 2-1 series victory over Sri Lanka. The decision reflects the confidence of the selectors in the current configuration, especially after the convincing victory of eight women in the Decider series in Colombo.
All three accessories will be played under lights at the Dhaka Bangla National Stadium on July 20, 22 and 24. The Pakistani team has already arrived in the capital of Bangladesh, while the hosts returned home on Thursday, passing through a last triumph abroad.
Litton is headed from the front while Bangla desh seeks redemption
Litton Das has been preserved as a captain and aims to take advantage of his growing reputation as successful T20I leader. He recently became the first pattern of Bangladesh to win two T20i series away from home: a 3-0 sweep in the West Indies last year followed by the victory of the comeback in Sri Lanka.
The upper order appears installed, with Tanzid Hasan, Litton, Towhid Hridoy and Shamim Hossain contributing to Sri Lanka. In the Bowling Department, Mahedi Hasan was the prominent interpreter of the third T20I, and made figures of 4 to 11, while the Rishad Hossain leg sprinkler and the Pealer Mustafizur Rahman were exceptional with the economy rates that remained under six runs throughout the series.
Revenge on the cards when Pakistan returns to Dhaka
The next series offers Bangladesh the opportunity to avenge its 3-0 defeat against Pakistan in Lahore earlier this year. Historically, Pakistan has dominated this rivalry, gaining 19 of the 22 T20is playing between the two nations. However, with the support of the shape and home next to it, Bangladesh will have hope of turning the tables.
One of the possible challenges could be the conditions of passage to Dhaka, where persistent monsoon rains can affect the preparations and nature of the surfaces.
