What is ‘My Oxford Year’?
My Oxford year illustrates Jamie and Anna’s love story, who bonds for their shared interest in poetry when he becomes a student at the school. Their romance blossoms as they discover that they have similar interests, allowing its connection to thrive as it explores London.
Unfortunately, Anna tells Jamie that she has to return home to New York. Unknowingly, Jamie feeds herself-he deals with a life-changing illness-leaving the pair trying to navigate their romance as a result of the heartbreaking news.
Who’s in the cast ‘My Oxford Year’?
Carson is no stranger to playing a romantic leader, as she starred before in Netflix 2022 play Purple hearts. As well as staring in my Oxford year, Carson also serves as an executive producer. She explained what he went to the decision to cast Mylchreest as her love interest.

Netflix released the trailer ‘My Oxford Year’
Fans got a glimpse of Jamie and Anna’s relationship in the trailer for My Oxford year.
Anna is presented as a new student from New York and meets her teacher. Another student calls her out for “flirting with the hot teacher” on the first day of school. Jamie shows Anna around the city, and they share many passionate moments together.
The trailer then moves in tone and becomes a little more somber as Jamie suggests in a big secret.
“I have something that I really need to discuss with you,” Jamie told Anna.
“Don’t waste the short time you’ve left in Oxford on me,” he advises. “There is no future here.”
Anna tells Jamie that she doesn’t understand why he keeps things away from her but tells him that he doesn’t have to go through himself.
“This is the mess of life,” he said. “These are the best pieces.”
