MrBeast getting married
The YouTuberand his real name is Jimmy Donaldson, pop the question to love Thea Booysen on Christmas Day. He announced the big news through his Instagram account Wednesday, January 1.
“The boy did what 🥰🥰🥰,” he captioned a carousel of photos from the big day.
In the photos, MrBeast, 26, and Booysen are wearing matching MrBeast branded Christmas jumpers as they celebrate with the family in front of the Christmas tree. Booysen also shared a video via his Instagram account, where she admires her new ring while sitting on MrBeast’s lap as her dog celebrates with them.

“My family flew out from South Africa for Christmas and we were going to do Christmas at our house so both families were here,” Booysen told People. “We were opening presents, and then for the very last present he asked me to close my eyes because it was a surprise.”
MrBeast added that he had even tried to throw his girlfriend off the scent in the moments before.
“I deliberately dropped a large box to make a noise before presenting the real gift – with the ring inside – to her. And then I got down on one knee and proposed,” he said.
“I was trying to think of the best way to catch her off guard so it would be a surprise,” MrBeast continued. “Thea is very close to her family, so I wanted to make sure they were included in this momentous occasion. Christmas worked great because they were in town from the other side of the world.”
The couple met in 2022 when MrBeast was visiting South Africa, where Booysen is from. The two shared lunch together and bonded over conversations about science and YouTube. Although MrBeast had to return home soon, the relationship continued to grow when he sent a direct message to Booysen through X, asking if he could read the book she was writing at the time.

Although MrBeast has more than 340 million YouTube subscribers and 64 million Instagram subscribers followershe hopes his wedding day is “more private.”
“I don’t take many holidays because of how hard I work, so I definitely want to make sure that the wedding is a time to celebrate with her and spend time with friends and family that we really love. enjoy being with them,” he explained. “This will be the ultimate way to take some time off and enjoy things.”
