Jose Mourinho has rejected any retirement thought and insisted that he is still motivated to win football games.
The Portuguese is now 62 years old and has been treating the tensions and tensions of the management of the front line for a quarter of a century.
Mourinho has been in Fenerbahce since June 2024 and drove the side to a second place in Super LIG, although 11 points behind Galatasaray rivals.
And the old port, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Inter Boss, insists that it still has a lot of fire in its belly.
He told Canal 11 in Portugal: “What motivates me is the desire to win the next game. I really like what I do. I can’t find any reason not to continue, I don’t feel -I can’t find a reason to think that my time to quit.
“I have the best family that a coach can have. They continue to motivate -me, believing that I have a lot ahead and a lot to do.”
Mourinho has been in recent years, from an innovative to someone behind the time compared to the tastes of Pep Guardiola and Arne Slot.
He admits that nothing has changed in terms of preseason preparations over the years.
He added: “I see no difference between Mourinho, which started about 20 years ago, and Mourinho today. The way I prepare for the seasons, my training sessions, the way I experience training, my attempts to empathize with those who work with me … I can see no difference.
“I think it is very difficult to succeed without empathy. I always appreciate it when they say a great communicator, but being a great communicator alone does not have championships and I won 26.”
One thing he feels has changed, however, is the barometer for which success is measured.
He said, “Right now, you are considered the best by creating the best perception.
“How did you get important jobs in the past? Winning. What happens now? Only perceptions … Do you seem to win more important than winning. Things have changed radically.”
