More than 400 were killed by a rebel group in Sudan, says no

More than 400 people were killed in recent rapid support forces (RSF) in the Darfur region in Sudan, saying the UN refers to “reliable sources”.

Last week, RSF launched intensive soil and air attack on refugee camps surrounding the city of El Fasher trying to seize the last state capital in Darfur, which conducted their competitor, the Sudan Army.

Two warring parties have been closed in the bloody fight against the authorities since April 2023. This created the world’s largest humanitarian crisis and made millions leave their homes.

The UN said they had checked 148 murders between Thursday and Saturday, but warned that the fee for what was much higher.

UN Socialist Secretary of the Ravina Shamdasani told the BBC that the check process is ongoing and their number does not include Sunday.

“More than 400 killed sources have reported,” said Ms Shamdasani.

At least nine humanitarian aid workers were among the killed, the UN said.

Refugee camps surrounding El -Fasher – Zamzam and Abu Showk – provide temporary houses of more than 700,000 people, many of whom face the conditions that resemble hunger.

In a statement issued on Saturday, RSF said he was not responsible for attacks on civilians and that the murder scenes in the Zamzam had been put for discrediting their forces.

The next day, the group stated that it had completed the “successful release” of the Sudan Army. RSF accused the army of using Zamzam as “military barracks, and innocent civilians as human shields.”

El Fasher-Apostle Large city in Darfura under the control of the army and is under the siege of RSF during the year. Sudan’s brutal civil war will join his third year on Tuesday.

UN Head of Human Rights Wolf Turk called on all parties related to “resolve the determination to take significant steps to resolve the conflict”.
