Along with Mila, Bush Hager shares Poppy’s children, 9, and Hal, 5, with her husband Henry Hager. During a recent chapter of the Today Show, Bush Hager Reflected on being a parent and sharing a revelation he had a few years ago about parenting.
“We had always had a Halloween with our family and family friends. “At first, I was like, ‘Wait – what? Like, how dare you.’”
But after taking a step back, he realized, “I’m not going to be the memories of all my children … we should make our children feel confident that they can go and be people themselves.”

Jenna agreed with her sister, saying Us That the focus of her parents is currently on living as part of what influenced her decision to hold off on giving Mila a mobile phone.
“She’s in the sixth grade. Many children in her degree do, but we stay on that,” Jenna shared. “But so, she knows how to go up to people and say – I’m like, ‘If you need you, go into a shop and you have my number.’”
But that’s not the only thing her parents taught her for raising children.
“They tried to make the world creative and enchanting for us,” said Jenna. “And when you’re very small, the world is enchanting. So both parents are part of their children’s lives, but also parents get children’s energy, put their phones down and see what they see because it’s really funny and it’s fun.”
