Love is blind almost had a disgraceful Saturday night live parody, by kindness Mikey’s day and Heidi Gardner.
Day, 45, explained the concept for the sketch that he and Gardner, 41, thought but eventually not broadcast. He would have ridiculed the concept of Netflix’s dating show of matching singles without ever meeting face to face by giving him a NSFW turn.
“He was a parody of Love is blind. The name was Love Is Ass, ”he told Weekly US only as part of his partnership with Rent a dollar car. “In Love is blindYou don’t see the person. And in this, he would have been sitting in a small room and there’s a small hole in the wall and someone puts their ass (up to it) and all you can see is their ass. So you have a conversation staring at their back. “
But like any Swallow A veteran, Day, who is in his ninth season on the long-standing NBC sketch show, has become used to seeing his sketches cut. It takes a step.
“I’m usually pretty good at moving on and being like, ‘right, on the next one,'” he said.
Perhaps there is still hope for the love ass. Love is blind has run for eight seasons for premiering in 2020 and has been renewed for ninth term, which will make it relevant to Swallow51th term.

“That one would have been fun,” added Day. “Maybe one day.”
Although that sketch was never broadcast, Day also looked back at one of his favorites that made the break, where he had to do a Beavis and Buttead parody with his favorite Swallow host Ryan gosling.
“He always feels like he maintains, (he’s the popular child) at school,” he said. “Everyone likes the cool, beautiful, popular kid hanging out with the Dorky comedians.

Charles Roussel for Dollar Cars RentDay also brought his comedy chops sketched to his new ads for rented dollar cars, where he plays five different eccentric characters, parody usual travel annoyance.
“I played a bunch of different people and just made fun of the nonsense of traveling out there,” he said. “I got a blast doing it.”
He said he enjoyed making fun of the common problems that any traveler can relate to – as people who lame the airport chargers.
“People who are pig chargers at the airport,” he added. “Usually only like two outlets work in an airport. People who post up and plug all their things in. We make fun of that in the campaign too. Only the kinds of people you encounter.”
