He faced constant stocks for years due to the presence of modern Bowling Spin-Bowling Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadja in the test playing XI, but when the former retired, many experts expected Kuldeep Yadav to have consistent possibilities.
However, this did not happen, and the star spinner of the left arm is still waiting for the opportunity to prove in the longest format of the game.

Speaking to Beyond23 Cricket Podcast’s YouTubce Channel, Michael Clarke said that Kuldeep Yadav’s inclusion in XI interpretation could have shown to be a change of game for India, but he also praised Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar for his heroics. Stated:
“The talk around Kuldeep Yadav, I don’t believe, he changes. He didn’t play a role in the series. I think India could have helped 20 doctors in this series. But nothing can be taken out of these two (Sundar and jada).
“With the bat, they have been exceptional, with the ball, they were exceptional. So I don’t think anyone can criticize these two players, these two spinners. The part of the impact they had on this series deserved their place, he took it with both hands.”

Clarke said that Kuldeep Yadav is India’s X factor, while Jadja and Sundar are underestimated. Explained:
“But I think Kuldeep will continue to be a point of discussion because I think it is that X factor for the whole India. I could help them throughout this series to take 20 doctors.”
“And then the two spinners, his battle is undervalued. He has always been underestimated for someone like Jadja. He marked so many important races for India. And, Washington Sundar also more than fifty.”
Michael Clarke was also impressed with India Speedster Akash Deepwho showed his skill in the oval test, fired 66 runs. Said:
“Akash Deep made 66 94 balls, which was so important. Not only to continue, I suppose the impulse and collaboration, but (also) 60 ran at this stage of the game, in this pitch it was so important.”
