New York Mets defeated the Seattle Mariners with a final score of 7-3, giving the Amazines their first later victories since last month, when they defeated the San Francisco giants 2-1 on July 26 and 5-3 on July 27. From this writing, the Mets are 1.5 parties ahead of the Cincinnati Reds for third place of the Wild Card of the National League.
“Winning is fun. Win gather people” Francisco Lindor of New York said during yesterday’s press conference. “When you have difficult times, good teams have conversation with each other. And when you win, celebrate a little more.”
After an inevitable first entry, the Mets got things to happen to the second to get a 3-0 advantage. New York could easily handle Seattle’s Song, George Kirby, who left 12 times, a home career and seven won in loss.
“I will return to the first A bat of Mark Vientos, when I have runners in the position of scoring and tries to get a ball of land.” said Mets Manager Carlos Mendoza after victory. “He took two very good steps and then went up to the area, and he was able to get this sack. But I think he generally got them. We were aggressive, especially with his quick ball. We executed well.”
It was a fantastic evening for the third basketball Mark Vientos. He finished the game twice, a race at home and four RBI.
“I was just trying to see a quick ball in the area, half-mig,” said Vientos. “I know he had a good two-sided action about his quick ball. So he was just trying to see him half a half, not trying to do it too much. We talked about (this) before the game and I thought it was a good play plan.”
After leaving the second post, Seattle won -one at the top of the fourth. Unfortunately for the sailors, the Mets responded with three more runs at the end of the fifth to expand the leadership to 7-1, thanks in part to a three-thrown Homer of winds.
“Until this year, it has not been easy for him. Many ups and downs … It has not been easy for him in recent weeks with an inconsistent play time,” Mendoza said on winds. “He plays a game, maybe he feels for some of them. It is not an easy role, but this is how the messaging with him and some of the other younger players, as if they had to keep it. And, according to his credit tonight.
With a 7-1 lead, the Mets would only allow sailors to mark two more runs before winning the game last night to give the Amazines their first victory in the series in three weeks.
“She feels good, she feels good. But again, one day at a time mentality,” Mendoza said. “We have to start winning series. We know that we are good. It has been difficult. It has been difficult for all of us, but now there is no look back. All we have to do is be worried about what we have to do today to get a W and continue to win series. And I’m glad we can do this time.”
“You know, it’s good now, but at the end of the day we enjoy tonight,” said Francisco Lindor. “It was a great day in general, then turning the page.”
Mets are out today as they travel to Washington to take on the nationals. The first field of this game is scheduled for tomorrow at 18:45 EDT.
