Mary Brown gives Us an inside look behind the scenes Sister Wives.
“There are so many good memories,” Brown, 53, said only Us Weekly in December. “When I slid down the hill and landed on the other side of the snow bank. I don’t even know what you call it.”
Meri has starred on the TLC series since its first performance in 2010 alongside an ex-husband Kody Brown, Janelle Brown, Christine Brown a Robyn Brown. While Meri has become a professional in front of the camera for the past 19 seasons, she admitted that the first day of filming surprised her.
“Just thinking about that first scene when I was introduced, I didn’t expect the cameras to be there,” he recalled. “I didn’t know they were there. I would have been a bit more prepared.”
After more than 30 years of marriage, Kody and Meri Brown worked their way out of more than one big rough patch before confirming their split in 2023. The couple tied the knot in April 1990 before Kody introduced three more women, Janelle, Christine and Robyn Brown, into their family. He drew their unique home life (…)
When the show started, Meri, Janelle, 55, Christine, 52 years old all married to Kody55, and was in the process of dating Robyn, whom he married in 2014. However, their relationship dynamics has changed a lot since then. Christine and Kody split in 2021 while Janelle and Kody called it quits the following year. While Meri prefers to be camera-ready, she teased that Kody is the one who would most likely be the “star of the blooper reel.”
“Just because of all the stuff that comes out really his mouth should be bigger,” she quipped.
While the Brown family have been open about their lives on screen, there are some topics that Meri does not like to discuss on the show.

Us Weekly“I don’t like talking about or hearing other people talk about intimacy, PDA and finances,” she said Us. “I think funding is not a necessary conversation.”
As for who takes the longest to get ready, Meri admitted that she or Robyn are a bit of fun.
“I always take an hour and a half to get ready,” he admitted “Sometimes I’ve done it in 45, but that’s only when I’m staying at home.”
While Kody remains married to Robyn to this day, Janelle, Christine and Meri, (aka., the ex-wives club), have remained close as they continue to navigate life as a family. Meri shared that her favorite family gatherings over the years have to be Thanksgiving of all their children was present. Meri and Kody share a son, Leon, 29. Kody is also the father of six children: Logan, 30, Maddie, 29, Hunter, 27, Gabriel, 23, and Savannah, 20 years old. shares with Janelle. Kody and Christine also have six children together: Aspyn, 29, Mykelti, 28, Paedon, 26, Gwendlyn, 23, Ysabel, 21, and Gwir, 14. With Robyn’s fourth wifeKody shares son Solomon, 13, and daughter Ariella, 8. He also adopted Robyn’s children from her previous marriage: David, 24, Aurora, 22, and Breanna, 20. (Kody and Janelle were also parents to son Garrison and he died in March aged 25.)
“As the children got older, they would go off and do different things for different holidays,” says Meri. “But on Thanksgiving almost everyone was always there.”
Meri added that of all the women on the show, Christine was the “best” cook but said she had also done “some things that are not so good too.”
