“Do you know who doesn’t like lobster? My husband,” Markle, 44, told the famous and humanitarian chef José Andrés In a clip of a recently released season 2 episode from its popular Netflix show, With love, Meghan.
“No way. And you marry him?” Andrés, 56, responded to the Duchess of Sussex to laugh.
The pair were back in Markle’s temporary kitchen, preparing a lobster dish that required the chef to kill the crustaceans alive and personally – to Markle’s horror.
The second highly expected season of with Love, Meghan is coming later this month – and Meghan Markle seems to have just started. “So lobster! Come on here baby,” said Andrés.
“She called him a baby,” Markle noted as she watched on, gringing with all broken the chef made as he prepared the meal.
“You need to be very careful because they call it a prickly lobster for a reason – because it’s really barbed,” explains Andrés. “Now this end, we’re going to cut in the middle. We’re doing it right here, we’re cutting the other the other way and right here, you have the lobster.”
“Well done,” Markle said before taking what appeared to be a very necessary zip of her wine.
“Are you okay?” Andrés asked the host, who at times had to cover her eyes as he cut the lobsters.
“I’m good,” he said, though not too convincing. “I can do it … look, if it’s a fish, I can somehow get involved.”
Markle then had to stop talking as she tried to watch Andres break through another lobster.
“Listen, at the end of the day…” Andrés started saying.
“It’s a life cycle,” Markle intervened.
“It’s a life cycle,” Andrés agreed.
