Eric Dane He has a family by his side as he navigates a new routine in the midst of his ongoing health struggle.
“I have been diagnosed with ALS,” announced Dane in April 2025. “I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we shape this next chapter.”
His statement continued: “I feel fortunate that I can continue to work and look forward to returning to (the) set of Euphor next week. I kindly ask you to give my family and I privacy during this time. “
The Battle of Als Dane was revealed after his wife, Rebecca GayheartFiled to refuse to file a divorce, seven years after they initially separated. (Dane and Gayheart, who married in 2004Share two girls.)

Although Dane has not discussed the progress and disadvantages in public with Gayheart, he spoke honestly about their goParenting relationship.
“Not going to lie, it hasn’t been easy. But I think what’s exciting is what’s ahead because there are so many different things that could happen now,” he said during an interview in 2019. “My former and I, we’re friends and we’re doing our best for Coparent and maintaining a family, even though we’re not married.”

William Melvin
Dane’s father died of a gun wound when he was 7 years old.
“My mother -gu thinks it was an accident,” shared Dane with the Gulf times In 2014. “Everyone has a different view on it.”
During the same interview, Dane explained how his father’s death ended having a profound effect on his life.
“I never realized how cognitive and aware I was at the time until I had my own children and saw how powerful Billie is 4 years old and thought, ‘My God, this must have been devastating at the age of 7,’” he remembered. “The awareness I would have had at that age must have been devastating.”
Rebecca Gayheart
Dane married Gayheart in 2004 and welcomed two women during their wedding. In February 2018, he filed for a divorce citing incomparable differences. The pair were separated for seven years before Gayheart filed to reject his divorce petition in April 2025.
Rebecca Gayheart’s 14 -year -old girl, Billie, is a new jawbreaker fan, but she is a huge fan of 1999 film.
Billie Dane
Eric and Gayheart welcomed their eldest daughter, Billie Beatrice, in March 2010.
“(Billie) named after my father,” Eric said during an interview in 2016. “Whether a boy or a girl, the first -born was going to be Billie.”
Georgia Dane
Their second daughter, Georgia Geraldine, was born in December 2011.
