But overall, she said, there are ambiguous feelings about the film.

“The fact that many stripper films are missed – and what the anora starts, but it does not go far enough – it is a moral question around men who buy sex,” she said.

“This is a matter of consent. Most of these films are ashamed to answer it or look at it.”

She said it also disappointed that these characters “never exist in their profession.”

“(Anora) is a pretty limited character,” she said. “We will never know anything about it. The film takes the perspective (men’s presenters) Igor and Van, determining who she is.”

“It is better than any movie I saw about it, but ultimately it is limited because it does not tell the sex worker,” she added. “I can’t wait for we tell our own stories, and hopefully this will open the door.”

For Normington, the film reflected “Uncertainty and Competition and jealousy”, which she personally experienced in the clubs.

“I am grateful that this is not trying to become a major film.”

Meanwhile, Schneider was a reflection of the film about the daily nature of the work that impressed the chord.
