Roy of jellyfish caused serious violations in one of the largest nuclear power plants in France, for the second time a month.
The jellyfish is included in the Pumping Station filter and the Paluel Nuclear Power Plant, the France EDF said.
The incident reduced the production at the Normandy plant by 2.4 gigawat and crews to restore it in full work.
In August, the generation at another major nuclear place in France was also broken by jellyfish after “Massive and unpredictable” swarm made the plant gravel temporarily stop surgery.
The blow is almost half the withdrawal of 5.2 gigawato Pauluel, after one of four reactors was closed and a second decreased as a protective measure.
According to the World Nuclear Association (WNA), nuclear is about 70% of Francis energy consumption.
Paluel is one of the largest nuclear power plants in France, with each of the four units creates more than 1300 megawatts.
In a statement, EDF stated that they took steps at 21:00 local time (19:00 GMT) after the “jellyfish” in the filters of the non -nuclear plant.
The company added that its teams “carry out the necessary diagnosis and intervention” to completely return both reactors on the Internet.
