Opposition leader Cameroon Morris Kamto was expelled from the list of candidates for the October 12 presidential election.
Only 13 of the 83 names presented to the electoral body were accepted.
Kamto finished second in the 2018 election amid allegations of fraud. He has not yet commented on this decision.
President Paul Bio, 92, the world’s oldest president, was included in the list and will look for the eighth term.
By refusing to leave the post, he says he still has something to offer Cameroon, despite being in power for almost 43 years.
The bio will be challenged by two former allies, Isa Tirome Bakar and Bella Buba Maigar, who are both coming from a rich vote north of the country.
The Kamto was expelled because it was one of the two candidates registered for the submission of the Manidem Party.
Despite the fact that it was officially adopted by the party governing body, another candidate from the shard also registered under the name of the party.
President Manidem Anicette economy called the cocktot “arbitrary and provocative”.
“We urge all the Cameroons to show peace and restraint, because at the moment it is only a goal in the offset. This meeting should be sanctioned by the Constitutional Council to which we will turn to,” he added.
Those who got rid of the presidential race have two days to file a legal task.
Kamto was a candidate for Renaissance Cameroon (CRM) in 2018, but this year’s parties were not allowed to approve anyone from the absence of elected representatives in parliament or local councils.
Thus, Kamto recently joined the Manidem Party, which has a local representation.
Famous lawyer for combating corruption Acker Moon, leader of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) Joshua Osich, and Cabral Libya-one legislator of other candidates who have passed.
Mayor Firebrand Foumban Patricia Tomaino Ndam NJOYA is the only candidate in the list.
