“Smaller beds” was not the only piece of work where McConaughey got a personal. In musing without a title, an Oscar winner reflected on balancing his relationship and career.
“The measurements of importance in my life are / my health, my family, my wedding, my career, / and my relationship with God. I / always have to re -graduate and adapt the / gauges to maintain balance,” he said. “My career has started and takes all my time? Whoops, / relationship with my family and God begins / slips to the red. My children and I are favorite people / another and my six packs / torn? I guess more time / with my wife.”
McConaughey then compared his connection with Alves to keep his car in good condition to keep him running smoothly.

Before release Poems and prayersMcConaughey opened for his inspiration to publish another book. (McConaughey released his popular biography, Greenlightin 2020.)
“Full of faith -driven reflections, raw honesty and moments of humor that explores what it means to live, love and believe, poems and prayers are more than a book,” he said in July. “It’s a memory – a place where we can rediscover what we’ve lost, celebrate what’s left and maybe even leave after what is no longer serving us.”
