Tiktok stars Mine and Abby Howard changed their minds about showing the faces of their sons on -lein.
“At first, we had the face of our first -Aned on -le because we are like, ‘We’re going to keep doing everything we’ve been doing. We’ve been blogging our life, we have a child now (and) we’re still voicing our life,'” said Matt, 27, on Sunday, July 27, July 27, episode Of the “two parent and podcast.”
He continued, “Then we thought, ‘Okay, there are digital footprints here,’ and all these things we are still learning.”
As a result, Matt and Abby, 26, decided to stop showing their children’s faces in their social media videos. The “unplanned” podcast in hosting, who been married since July 2019Welcome to Griffin’s sons and August in July 2022 and August 2023, respectively.
“It’s crazy because we really are in the wild west,” said Matt. “Someone is going to (f ***) up there. There are parents (who have been) already on -lein, and, like, hurt their children. So we learn, like, ‘Don’t do it, good.’ We do not want to be one of those people who accidentally (after our children).
Abby, for her part, explained that their reasoning was out of “a wealth of defense.”

By the kindness of Abby Howard/ Instagram“It may be over -react, who knows down the line, but we would prefer to be safe than sorry,” he added. “I think the other thing is that we have chosen for our lives to be facing the public (And) We want to give (our sons) the autonomy to make that choice for themselves if they want to reduce the line. “
Until their children are old enough to make the decision for themselves, Matt and Abby continue to share family updates – only with some boundaries in place.
“We talk about them, we share them – just not their faces,” said Abby. “We don’t want them to be a central part of our content or to be identifiable individually. Who knows what it looks like down the line.… We see protecting our children seriously.”
Abby further emphasized that she and Matt “want to put (themselves) on some moral high ground” do not for their decision to keep their children out of the apparent, contrasting the personal parenting choices of other family influencers.
“There is no right or wrong about things,” said Abby. “All parents have to make the decisions for their own children, and this is where we are at the moment.”
Matt and Abby are also aware that their raising children’s minds may move in the future, if they decide to have a third child.
“For me, he is in combination with Abby’s idea of sitting on content longer, sitting on photos longer and waiting to evaluate, ‘Okay, what’s the right decision here?'” Said Matt about how their journey could change. “Something we’ve done with our own podcast is be very vulnerable With the Internet, with the world (a) Share everything that happens in our life. … Probably just having wisdom and discretion, like, ‘Let’s sit on this (a) Let’s get some privacy here’ Probably one of the best things you can do. “
