US negotiators are conducting in Moscow for negotiations to stop the fire of Ukraine on Thursday, but Russia’s readiness to acquire the conditions of a temporary truce developed without its contribution is still speaking.
Russia is under pressure to subscribe to the White House 30-day ceasefire agreementWhich, according to the United States, will show whether the Kremlin is serious about ending the war against Ukraine.
US Secretary of State Mark Rubio said on Wednesday that the ball was in the Russian court after he and Ukrainian officials came up with the ceasefire agreement earlier the week. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said it would be financially “destructive” for Russia if it did not agree with the truce, hinting that more sanctions could be imposed in the country if it disagrees.
But the music of the mood that came out of Moscow on Thursday before the negotiations was not positive. Assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov refrained from informing the state media, whether Russia will reject the Trump ceasefire agreement, but noted that the truce will give Ukraine the opportunity to increase its strength.
Ushakov stated that he handed over this position to US national security advisers Miki Waltz during a call on Wednesday.
“This is nothing more than a temporary respite for the Ukrainian military.
The comments came after the US delegation led by Trump’s special envoy Steve Witco arrived in Moscow for talks on Thursday, confirmed the Kremlin, when he tempered expectations regarding the possible results of the meeting.
“The flying negotiators are indeed contacts,” said Kremlin’s press -secretary Dmitry Peskov on Thursday, NBC News reports, adding: “Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, we’ll tell you later. There were already contacts.”

The Kremlin initially expressed a muted reaction to the ceasefire proposal, asking for more detail.
The transaction, As stated in a joint statementSeeing that all military events stop and can be extended outside the initial 30-day term by a mutual agreement. The draft agreement also requires “the exchange of prisoners of war, the liberation of civilian detainees and the return of forcibly transferred to Russia of Ukrainian children.”
As part of the US plan, they immediately paused for joint exploration with Ukraine as well as military assistance.
Russia has already mentioned a number of its red lines for any future peace deals, repeatedly stating – including on Thursday – that it will not transfer the deployment of any foreign troops in Ukraine, or the construction of foreign military bases in the country.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet commented on this deal, and over the last 24 hours she has put on army fatigue to visit the Russian region Kursk, which was partially occupied by Ukrainian troops after the invasion of August last year.
Putin’s rare visit to the frontline was noticed that the Kremlin demonstrates the initiative in the war, while Russia’s forces make constant income in eastern Ukraine and The Ministry of Defense claims that the whole region of Kursk soon overseas.
Analysts say there will be a struggle for Russia to avoid the fact that Andriy Trs, an adviser to Central and Eastern Europe in Tennea, called “ceasefire” from Ukraine and the United States, but they are also skeptical that Moscow will agree – or fulfill – the agreement on the fire. In Moscow, there have already been some stormy that any deal would be on Moscow’s terms, not Washington.
“Ukraine imitates the initiative, acting as a willing to cease fire, and now how Putin will play it?” Tim Ash, the senior strategist of the new RBC Bluebay Asset Management markets, said in an email on Thursday, adding that “if he disagrees with the production, he will be revealed as an evil actor … and risks risking Trump.
Vladimir Dubovik, Academician and Analyst of the Center for European Analysis (CEPA), commented on Wednesday that a meeting of the Ukrainian US could be considered as a “breakthrough”.
“Question: Breakthrough to what exactly? The main questions remain the same as before the agreement. What will be Moscow’s answer? I think it can play together, pretending that it also wants peace,” ” – he noted on Wednesday.

Sam Green, an expert on Russia in CEPA, considered that there would be no Russian agreement.
“With the immediate Russian consent to ceasefire, it is unlikely, the disappointment of the White House may lead to new requirements for Ukrainian concessions. Europe, which should move quickly to help reduce Kiev’s dependence on Washington, with special emphasis on exploration and air defense, thus isolating Ukraine as a Russian attack,” He said in the analysis on WednesdayAdding that there is no “self-resorting premises when it comes to the dynamics of Washington-Motz.”
