Martin ScorseseDaughter Francesca Scorsese Share a rare insight into their relationship with the mother Helen Morris suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
Posted a video of herself and Morris, who married the Departed Director in 1999, through Tiktok On Tuesday, September 2, Francesca, 25, was seen helping her mother eat a meal at a table.
“Reminder to tell your parents that you love them because one day you will have to take care of them as they once looked after,” Francesca wrote within the video. He also headed the post, “Never take health for granted,” before adding five hashtags including #parkinsonsawareness and #Martinscorsese.
Mayo clinic describes Parkinson’s disease as “the movement of the worsening nervous system over time.”

She captured the Francesca video, Morris’s only child, throwing her mother’s hair behind her ear, lifting a drink up to her mouth and gently rubbing Morris’s arm before taking food from a plate to feed her mother. (Martin is also the father of Cathy, 59, and Tomenica, 48, which he shares with a first wife, Larachand a second wife, Julia Cameronrespectively.)
The clip ends with Francesca sharing laughter with her mother and someone else at the table she’s not filmed, before she turns off the camera.
Morris was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease more than 30 years ago, with Martin open up for his wife’s health struggle and praising her resilience during the February 2024 chapter of “Life of Mine with James CordenPodcast.
“She has had Parkinson’s disease for about 30 years now,” said Martin at the time. “My complaint is part of my cheek and it’s usually self-valuable. My complaining, I find, is nothing compared to what the suffering that a condition like that does, and so we live with it and it changes how you find life and everything around you.”
This thanksgiving was an emotional one for the Willis family. Like Mayo Clinic details, Parkinson’s disease symptoms can be controlled but there is currently no cure.
Morris has supported her husband in several public events over the years. He asked for photos alongside Martin and Francesca on the Golden Globes red carpet in January 2024. Cathy and Domenica also joined the trio.
Morris also went with her family to the Cannes 2023 Film Festival premiere The slaughterers of the flower moon In France, with Martin and Francesca holding her arms to aid her stance on the red carpet.
