When Males Matlin ended her violent relations with William Hert, she leaned toward her teacher Henry Winkler for his support.
The Oscar winner talks in detail about his rise in Hollywood in the new documentary “Marley Matlin: Non -one”.
According to the film, Matlin turned to the Star of “Happy Days” after she ended her relationship with actor William Hert. In the documentary, Matlin claimed that her “children of the smaller God” “co -authored” the habit of abuse. “Het died in 2022 at the age of 71.

A 59-year-old guy who was deaf told Fox News Digital through the translator that the appeal to Winkler during her life was not easy.
“He didn’t make it difficult for me to contact him,” Matlin said. “It was always available. It was like a door open – an open door and my heart. And he knew it.”

“He knows what he did for many people,” she shared. “But to have such a close relationship, I was just very, very lucky. I knew that both he and his wife were gold. I didn’t think I had Henry in life I would be here. I don’t think I would do it so far. I don’t think it’s.”

Hart and Matlin starred in the 1986 film about the novel of the deaf women with the hearing teacher. Matlin was 19 years old when she was rejected opposite Het, 35.
While the relationship was suffered from problems, Metlin was harmful to inspire her to come to the Betty Ford Center after using each cocaine and marijuana she had in their apartment in New York.

“I left this house and never returned,” she said in the film.
Winkler urged Matlin sober to visit him and his wife Stacey Witzman In their house in California. There they could “talk”. Matlin accepted his proposal.

Matlin not only began to heal, but also found true love. In 1993, she married Kevin Gandalsky, a police officer, at the Winkler House.

“I think everyone who has such a teacher would understand and appreciate how important it is for me,” Matlin explained for Fox News Digital.
“He provided me a place to feel safe,” she said. “I could always depend on what he was a man who believed in me, honestly believed, and helped create his own confidence and trust that he allowed me to be open and see the world more clearly. I was so lucky … that I was one of the people he really cares about what he really cares about the world.”

“He was probably sometimes one of the most famous people in the world,” Matlin changed. “He was better known than the president, in my opinion, and one of the most beloved people in the world. So who, when -thought, he would take the time and pay attention to someone as I, a little girl I was when he met me, a little girl when he didn’t even know the American language?”

“He knew nothing about being deaf, a deaf culture,” Metlin continued. “But you know what? It doesn’t matter to him. He admitted, of course, I reported. He did not ignore the fact that I was deaf, but at the same time he treated me with love and respect, as well.
The 79 -year -old Winkler said in a statement aimed at Fox News Digital: “When we first saw her at the age of 12, it was obviously how powerful and talented. It will always be part of our lives.”

Matlin is the youngest and first Winner Academy Academy Healt Best. Her memory “I shout later” was published in 2009. In it, the actress stated that she was mocked as a child and allegedly abuse of harm during their relationship.

“I didn’t know you could seek help,” said Matlin Fox News Digital. “I didn’t know that, screaming for help, I did not know what I could go out and seek help, unlike what happened … Hoping that someone would come. But no one did when I shouted. Nobody did … I didn’t want to stop at it, but here’s what happened.”

After publishing a book Hert issued a statement Access This said: “My own memory is that we both apologized and both did a lot to heal our lives. Of course I did, and sorry for any pain I caused. And I know we both grew up. I want gauze and her family but good.”
The director of the documentary, Shoshane Stern, also deaf, told Fox News Digital through the translator that she admired Matlin’s bravery in the conversation before the #metoo movement.

“I was determined to prove (my critics are wrong),” said Matlin Digital Fox News Digital about finding a Hollywood career. “It just made me roll up my sleeves, even more to prove to them that I am a deaf woman who likes to act as much as yet … I didn’t enter this business. It was a dream. So why couldn’t I make another movie?”
“But if that happened today, I would have made a lot then,” Matlin mused. “I didn’t know how to speak out against those who … wanted to put me in a negative light … As a result, I had to grow up so quickly.

“I was 19 years old when I entered (” Children of the Little God “), I was 20 years old while making the film, and I had a much older guy. It was my first movie and I tried with sober and everything went right away. And they were more interested in pulling me down than the rest of the things I survived.”
