The leader of the ultra-right national rally of France (RN), Marin Le Pen, called the court ruling, which forbid her to run for five years with a “political decision” at a rally in Paris on Sunday.
“I will not refuse,” she told thousands of fans who worried about the flag, on the site of Vaban, near the Eiffel Tower.
On Monday, she was found guilty of helping 2.9 million euros (2.5 million pounds) in EU funds from 2004 to 2016 to use her party. Le Peng turned.
At a rally on Sunday, she stated that there was a “witch hunt” against her party and said: “We do not ask to be above the law, but not to be below the law.”
Bardel, the PH party president, said on Sunday that the court ruling was “a direct attack on democracy and the wound of millions of patriotic French people.”
He said he did not want to “discredit all the judges”, but claimed that the decision against Le Pen was aimed at “eliminating her from the presidential race” in 2027.
In response on Sunday, Gabriel Atal, the head of the Renaissance Central Party Emmanuel Macron Macron, replied, saying, “You’re stealing.”
Atal also announced an “unprecedented interference” in France, pointing to the support of Le Peng from several right-wing leaders, including the Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni and Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban.
US President Donald Trump has called her belief “a very big deal”.
The BFMTV poll after the Monday ruling showed that many people in France believe that justice was a service in the Le Pen case – 57% according to the poll.
The Paris Appeal Judge said he should be able to bring the decision on the case by the summer 2026 on Tuesday – a few months before the 2027 presidential election.
Le Pen prepared to participate in the presidency for the fourth time and had a good chance of winning.
In addition to the ban on public posts, Le Pen was also taken to 100,000 euros (82,635 pounds) and a four -year prison term, of which two years will be rejected.
This will not be applied until the process of appeals is exhausted, which may take several years.
RN spokeswoman Laurent Jacobly said that although the party would fight for Le Pen as a candidate, his 29-year-old Bardel’s president was “most naturally legitimate”.
At this stage of the brothel, he got rid of involvement in the discussion, refusing to say whether he was a “plan B” of the national action and said that after the decree that the French should be “indignant” the verdict.
However, a poll published the day before the convicted Le Pen showed that about 60% of the RN voters would return the brothel over Le Pen in the presidential election when he launched.
French President Macron has no right to compete in the next presidential election.
