Maren Morris Has nothing but nice things to say about her neighbor, Sheryl crow.
“It’s just badass and she’s always been humanitarian,” said Marris, 35, Weekly US Thursday, May 1, while attending the opening Diversity Power of Women event hosted by Lifetime in Nashville, Tennessee.
“She has always been a fan for women and new artists like me,” Morris continued for her neighbor, of which she says “living up the street”. “She stands by her word, which is amazing.”
Morris went on to say about Crow, 63, in standing for her beliefs, that the singer does not “sit on the fence.”
“She definitely stands over the margins, and she has done so her whole career,” she continued. “So I love that. I can show her that love today.”
Morris Crow honored at the event on Thursday night side by side Reba Mcentire. Kelsea Ballerini and Mickey Guyton. The aim of the event was to showcase the group’s contributions to country music and the ability to historically transform the genre dominated by men into one that has made it possible for women like Morris to thrive.

John Shearer/Getty Images“I feel so humble that I have been honored by diversity in the power of the opening variety of Nashville women with such an incredible group of women,” Crow wrote in Friday, May 2, Post Facebook. “You all make me want to be the best person I can be! You are all unique and strong girls and just amazing people!”
Crow also gave Morris a special shout in his post.
“And I can’t thank Maren Morris enough for being there for me,” the singer wrote. “You never give me inspiration! You are a gift!”
Although Crow has certainly been the hero of Morris and countless young women’s musicians around the world, the singer opened us only for her own hero – the iconic Stevie Nicks.
“I have said this nausea. I say to Stevie. I say to anyone who (asks) is for Stevie: Wouldn’t it be for Stevie, I wouldn’t do what I do,” Crow told Crow Us on Thursday. “I poured over the magazine. I set next to the record player and listened to rumors. I mean, there was a ‘landslide’ exactly, like, (at a) tape loop in my head. And the pictures of her! She was my ticket out of my little town.”
Crow continued. “That is, I wanted to grow up to be her – having the small peripheral hair cut and scarves – and yes, I’ve told her a thousand times. She’s dear, dear friend.”
