Vanessa Marcil says she is “grateful forever” to have her son, Kassius, in her corner.
“Going through a difficult time. I haven’t shared any of it, but I realized tonight for the first time that my best friend @suzannewhang, mother -fam my son, really disappeared,” wrote Marcil, 56, through Instagram On Saturday, August 30. “I feel completely alone. I step out of things for a while to mourn.”
Former House hunters host Suzanne Whang died in September 2019 At the age of 56 following a long battle with breast cancer. He met Marcil in 1993 on a set Las vegasand they became close friends quickly and eventually, they all made the “lovestop” podcast together.
In steering her grief in the years since Whang passed, Marcil has leaned on Kassius, 23for support.

“I am forever grateful for my son and the incredible reception, laughter, celebration and fierce loyalty we received from my monkey,” Marcil wrote on Saturday. “It’s a once in a lifetime experience to be fully wrapped in such love being completely devoid of opinion. I miss you, Bunny. Send me a sign.”
Previously, Marcil has shared multiple tributes to Whang through social media.
“On this -this birthday of mother -fam my son #pasio Suzannewhang, we have also lost a very young member of the daytime community and a law enforcement officer here in our home was hurried and murdered in his car at the age of 30,” he wrote through Instagram In September 2023. “Life is so fragile. I can’t help but feel helpless and hopeless.”
In the midst of their long -standing friendship, Marcil called Whang as Mother -fam Kassius when he was born in 2003. The actress shares his only child with before Brian Austin Green.
