The long-awaited trial over the medical staff, who treated the legend of Argentine football Diego Maradon, began in the capital of Buenos Aires.
Maradona was restoration when he died of a heart attack in his home in 2020, 60 years. It was restored at home after surgery for brain blood clumps earlier this month.
Prosecutors claim that Maradona’s death could be avoided and accused of hospital staff of medical care.
The defendants say Maradona refused further treatment and had to stay in the hospital longer after his work.
They run the risk of the prison between eight to 25 years old when they were convicted on charges of “murder with a possible intention”.
In the opening of the statement, the prosecution stated that it intended to present “firm” evidence that no member of the team “did what they had to do” at the “horror horror theater” that was a deadly bed of Maradona.
“Today, Diego Armando Maradona, his children, relatives closest to him and the Argentine people, deserve justice,” said Prosecutor Patrickio Ferrari.
Investigators called the case as a guilty murder, a crime similar to an involuntary murder because they said the accused were aware of the seriousness of Maradona’s health, but did not take the necessary measures to save him.
The defendants in this case are a neurosurgeon, a psychiatrist, a medical coordinator, a nursing coordinator, a doctor and a nightgown.
The night nurse said earlier that I saw “warning signs”, but received “not to wake up” Maradona.
More than 100 witnesses will testify in court, which is expected to last until July.
Diego Maradona is largely considered one of the greatest football players who played this game. He was a captain when Argentina won the 1986 World Cup, scoring the famous goal of God against England in the quarter -finals.
In the second half of his career, Maradona fought with cocaine addiction and was banned 15 months after the 1991 drug was checked.
The news of his death threw a football world – and his native Argentina country – in a deep mourning, and many thousands of people in the queue to go near the coffin in the Presidential Palace in Buenos -Aires.
