Manny Pacquiao advises Devin Haney to prioritize entertainment on first safety tactics

Manny Pacquiao advised Devin Haney about his need “Entertain the fans” for their fights. The world champion of eight divisions of 46, Pacquiao, wondered about his thoughts about the last Haney contest against Jose Ramirez on May 2 after telling him that he had thrown punches.

Lacking entertainment in Haney

26 -year -old Haney launched only 224 shots and his clash was seen as the most boring of the entire Times Square Card in New York City. Although the crowd was small, a VIP selected VIP group, many fans ordered the event Dazn PPV. The reaction to social media in Devin’s performance was negative. Some fighters came to Haney’s defense, but most were those who usually used the same boring style as him.

Pacquiao is known for its high production and the style of aggressive struggle, even against a larger and stronger opposition. So, Haney’s style of struggle and top -notch is alien to how the Philippine Superstrel has struggled during his career. He put the fans in the first place, wanting to entertain them and would never fight as Devin against Ramírez and in many other fights.

“In boxing, it is like entertaining fans. Boxing became popular due to the support of people’s fans,” said Manny Pacquiao to the media When asked about Devin Hangy’s low production in his fight against Jose Ramirez on May 2 in Times Square in New York City.

Haney: not suitable for the pacquiao model

It is unlikely that Devin and his father, Bill Haney, will heed the message of Pacquiao. Haney cannot change his style of struggle without physically breaking him and sending his career to the junk. He does not have the power or the chin to fight aggressively like the Manny proponents he should do.

“Therefore, make sure that the fans are satisfied in all the struggles you have, you give them. This is a balance. You cannot pay all the sacrifices you have, and people are not satisfied,” said Pacquiao.

Devin has not fought against many caliber fighters during his career. Some would say that it owes their popularity to be selectively paired against the battherable opposition and compete for most of his career in a weight class below his frame. He competed mainly in Lightweight, but would seem huge after rehydrating. Since moving to 140 and 147, Haney has fought against Shopworn Regis programis, Ryan Garcia and Jose Ramirez.
