‘Maid in Manhattan’ Cast: Where Are They Now?

The film Maid in Manhattan has been delighting rom-com lovers for the past 20 years.

In the 2002 film, Marisa Ventura (Jennifer Lopez) plays a single mother who works as a maid in a fancy Manhattan hotel and dreams of a better life for her son Ty (Tyler Posey). She meets Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes), heir to a political dynasty, who winds up thinking Marisa is a guest at the hotel. After one romantic night together, the pair fall in love. However, once Marisa’s identity is revealed, the two realize that they are both from very different worlds.

Maid in Manhattan loosely based on a true story Steven Clarkson of the Governor of New York Nelson Rockefellerwho married Anne-Marie Rasmussena maid who worked in the family hotel, in 1959.

Twenty years after the film hit theatres, Fiennes revealed that while filming Maid in Manhattanhe was caught with Lopez by the paparazzi and it ended act as a decoy to the public to hide the early days of his and Ben Affleck’s relationship.

“I was established,” the The Grand Budapest Hotel the actor shared during a November 2022 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. “I was asked to have dinner with J. Lo and her manager and agent… We had a nice, chatty dinner… (After that,) I think I walked home, but (we put) peck on the cheek good night. But somehow, the pictures were angled so that she was walking away (it looks like) I’m walking behind her.”
