Sweet magnolias Shock viewers by killing Bill – but is there a chance that there will be more character deaths in season 5?

And across his time at Serenity, (Bill) has been central, obviously to Maddie and the children but also to the group of friends around them (and) to other people in the town.”

“We were also looking for a way to get our characters to face those truly existential questions that explode when the first person in your friends group passed,” he continued. “You know, it’s like, ‘Who am I? Could run time out to me tomorrow? And if, what is my legacy? Have I spent my time wisely? Am I doing what I should be doing? Am I with the person I really love? Bill was such a shock. What if another shock is coming? Should I change my life?'”
Anderson explained, however, that the writers and the cast all “love” Klein as an actor, sharing that they are collectively “so I’m sorry to say to him, ‘We’re taking this direction, but we love you.’
