Geoffrey Stirlingbrother to Orange County Real House Ladies aum Lydia McLaughlintold the police “don’t shoot me” in the seconds before an officer was shot fatally during a traffic stop on April 17.

“I haven’t been drinking, an officer,” Stirling told the officer when he was first contacted on his motorcycle. “I’m absolutely sober, I’m just trying to stay safe. People have almost been striking me all day.”
After the officer asked him to sit down, Stirling responded “I don’t care what you’re telling me to do.”
He then tried to Estyn for his ID, asking the officer not to shoot him as he restored him.
“I’m not going to shoot you,” he replied. “Don’t arrive for f *** ing s ***, what about that?”
Both continued to argue for about 30 seconds until Stirling appeared to be taking several steps towards the officer. That started a physical rebellion when allegedly to Stirling Arrival for Officer’s Taser and try to point it to the officer’s top. The officer then took revenge by shooting Stirling six times.
“The videos have raised serious concerns and many questions about the actions of that police officer,” said the Stirling family in a statement provided by their lawyers to Weekly US on Thursday. “Of serious and specific concern is that the videos appear to show that Geoff is moving away from the officer at the time he was shot six times. The family through their attorneys are planning to file a legal case in the federal court for full answers and seek liability.”
In a briefing video released by Newport Beach Police Department, which included photos of the event, Sergeant Steve Oberon Claiming, “Mr Stirling hit the officer several times in his head and then moved the officer’s taser from his duty belt.”
The Stirling family, including Lydia and her brothers and sisters, looked at the film differently.
“Geoff was experiencing a mental health crisis when he was stopped for a traffic break. Geoff was disarmed and did not pose a deadly threat to the officer,” the family said in a statement. “The Stirling family expects that all video and audio photos should be kept along with all reports and tear evidence associated with this annoying shooting for submission in due course as part of the legal case the family will follow. The cause of death was to lose blood. Despite the loss of blood. Despite the presence of multiple officers reporting to the scene, no assistance was offered to start.”
