Former Orange County Real House Ladies star Lydia McLaughlin opened for her brother’s “unimaginable loss” Geoffrey Shyam StirlingDeath is 45 in reported shooting.
“My family has experienced an unimaginable loss. My brother, Geoff, was taken tragically and our hearts are being shattered,” wrote McLaughlin, 44, through Instagram on Saturday, April 19.
Stirling was said to have been shot fatally by police during a normal traffic stop on Thursday, April 17, back Tmz. He is alleged to be non -executive after being pulled over by officials while riding his motorcycle along the Pacific Coast Highway at Newport Beach, California.
McLaughlin acknowledged in her commemorative statement that Stirling’s death was double tragic to her She lost her mother. Judy Stirlingat the age of 76 in October 2024.
“I know they are both with Jesus now, and he walks with me through this darkness. One step at a time,” McLaughlin added through Instagram. “Thank you to everyone who has been praying for us.”
McLaughlin previously released a brief statement following the death of her brother where she said her family was “ruined by the loss.”
“We are grateful for deporting love and support from friends, family, and the community. We kindly ask for privacy as we mourn,” concluded.
The Newport Beach Police Department subsequently offered preliminary details of the shooting incident through Instagram on Friday, April 18.
“On April 17, 2025, at approximately 9:15 pm, Newport Beach Police Department officer held a motorcycle traffic stop on the West Coast highway between Superior Avenue and Hoag Hospital. The cyclist, identified as Geoffrey Shyam Shirling, read a 45 -year -old posting resident.”
The police statement continued, “Shortly after being stopped, Stirling became uncertain and attacked the officer. During the violent rebellion that followed, Stirling removed the Taser issued by the department of the officer’s duty belt and tried to use it several times against the officer. At that point, an officer occurred.” Shot happened

Earlier this month McLaughlin set out the six-month birthday of her mother Judy’s death Breast cancer with a poignant social media tribute.
“I’ve gone to a beautiful group called Share’s grief that has helped me in my cure and processing my care. It’s a group nationwide if anyone needs support, I recommend them,” he wrote through Instagram on April 8. “Grief can make you better or bitter. I put in my whole heart to turn my memory into a mother, and he’ll like to get my favorite.”
