Rural star Lorrie Morgan hit the stage for the first time following a husband Randy WhiteDeath.
Morgan, 65, performed at Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, on Friday, June 6, with his son Jesse Keith Whitley Starting the show as the opening act.
The following day, Morgan sang at CMA Fest Nashville. Later in the day on Saturday, June 8, Morgan shared a video via Facebook of her performance in the Grand Ole Opry.
Days before his shows, Morgan shared that White died at the age of 72 on June 1 following a Fighting with cancer.
“Randy has been my partner, my champion and my rock for 17 years. Our great, wonderful family and I have been hooked on losing this truly and amazing man,” wrote Morgan through Instagram at the time. “I was blessed by his girlfriend. Part-part, I will love and lose you forever.”

In 2024, Morgan announced that White was diagnosed with oral cancer. She canceled her incidents for two weeks in April while White was admitted to hospital.

“As I sit here in the room with a hospice, I don’t really know what to think or say about this situation,” he wrote through Facebook On June 1. “But, I can say that the last years of my life were all the way back to when I was 22-23 this big guy had been here and loved my mother, and also my sister as we herself.”
Whitley noted that White shows “unconditional love,” Morgan and has been “the most delicate soul to race this whole family.”
“As we say our goodbye, I reminisce about all the good times we have had and the battles that it has helped to overcome. I can’t tell you how much love has poured in by fans, family and friends,” he concluded. “We will always miss you and forever and our hearts are shattered while losing you. But you have fought one hell -fought ranman! Rest easy to say hello to everyone and love on Weezy.”
