Jamie Carragher said that the referee Anthony Taylor received a version of events that “did not happen” when Marcos Senesi de Bournemouth escaped from a potential red card against Liverpool in Premier League to Anfield.

The video assistant referee (VAR), Michael Oliver, seemed to advise Taylor that the ball had initially left the leg of Senesi, preventing him from detaining himself in hand.
“He realizes that he has a massive problem and moves his hand to the ball,” Carragher said. “What I just heard of the VAR did not happen.”
