There were important wins for Ipswich Town and Aston Villa, while Liverpool expanded leadership to the top of the table with eight games.
Any other place, there was a heart sorrow to fight Southampton, while Manchester City champions won comfortable winners and Newcastle supported their Glory of the Carabao Cup with victory.

Liverpool 1-0 Everton
Diogo Jota scored a second half goal to give Liverpool’s rights to Liverpool’s rights to Merseyside Derby and extend his advantage at the top of the table at 12 points.

Brighton 0-3 Aston Villa

Jack Grealish scored his first goal from the Premier League of the season, as Manchester City won the 2-0 convenient winners to fight Leicester.
The International of England scored within two minutes after a rare start to Pep Guardiola, with Omar Marmoush taking the other goal shortly before the half-hour brand.
The victory keeps the city in the top four, six points behind Nottingham Forest in third place.

Newcastle United 2-1 Brentford
Despite retirement celebrations in the city, there should be no hangover of the Carabao Cup for Newcastle, as goals from Alexander Isak and Sandro Tonali were enough to get a 2-1 victory over Brentford in St James Park.
Bryan Mbeumo had leveled from the penalty spot to the second half, but the Magpies saw the game to move to the fifth part of the table.
Southampton 1-1 Crystal Palace
Saints fans were a heartache for Saints’ fans, as a goal in the time of the second half of Matheus Franca, rescued a point for Crystal Palace in St Mary’s.
Paul Uuachu had given leadership to the boys in the basement of the Premier League after 20 minutes, but the side of Ivan Juric could not maintain, as Palace extended his unbeaten career to six games in all competitions.
