Farm fiasco? Matt Roloff and ex-wife Amy Roloff had many highs and lows around Roloff farms – But the future of the property has caused the biggest problems so far.
The Little World People Stars, who were married for 27 years before their separation in 2015, bought land in Hillsboro, Oregon when Amy was pregnant with their twins, Jeremy and Zach Roloff. (They welcomed their oldest sons in May 1990.)
As their family grew – Amy and Matt welcomed a girl Molly Roloff In 1993 and son Jacob Roloff In 1997 – the farm and its pumpkin patch celebrations were also blooming.
“He found him, I was pregnant with twin boys, I didn’t focus on land,” Amy she was told only Weekly US in November 2021 of the acres. “But we had a very lovely piece of property. I miss that space.” (Following their division, Amy sold her part of the land to Matt.)
Over the years, Love TLC Personalities to the Farm Stayed strongly, holding family weddings and serving as a background for their annual fall photo. It was even home Amy and her husband Chris MarekAugust 2021 Nuptials.
Unfortunately, the wide property of Roloff Farms has also cause friction with the familyEspecially after Matt chose not to sell part of the land to Son Zach in 2021. Instead, the patriarch in May 2022 revealed that he listed 16 acres of Oregon space for sale, claiming his boys did not want.
“It’s a bit scary but excited overall.…. It’s time to move towards the next season of life,” Matt wrote via Instagram On May 12, announcing the sale.
Three days later, the native of San Francisco further explained his decision to discharge some of the landclaiming, “My ultimate hope was that the whole Roloff Farms property would remain in our family for generations to come. Keeping that dream alive at this time was supposed to be.”
Matt claimed: “My twins decided not to consider working together towards a potential joint sale. They (together with their growing families) had progressed to other interests and investments.”
Zach, though, calling out his father through social media In May, claiming that Matt’s post for his twin does not want the farm “extremely erroneous and fake.” The father wrote to three: “This post is a new low of cowardice and treating his family and children for his own earnings.”
The same month, Season 23 of Little World People For the first time on tlc and touch the play between father and son over the land. “My dad talked a lot over the summer about what this would look like,” said Zach during chapter May 17. “My dad definitely encouraged the conversation.”
However, when the duo reconvened, things did not go as planned. “So finally I decided to make my father make a meeting, so (his girlfriend) Caryn (Chandler) and (my wife) Cut He also came to help the process forward, but things didn’t go well. It was bad. “
Matt, for his part, claimed during the episode that “Zach had come in a real hot. He did not come in to discuss. He came into insisting.”
