Liam Payne’s legend Nicola Reflected on the last time she saw her late brother before his death at 31 Last year.
Follow To Instagram On Friday, August 29, to indicate what would have been -the birthday of singer One Direction at the age of 32, Nicola shared a poignant message alongside several pictures of Liam, including pictures of them puzzling together.
“A year ago today, we were so full of hope and excitement about what the coming years would bring you,” Nicola, 37, wrote as she reflected on the last time she saw her brother. “That evening, celebrating your -Bowling and McDonald’s birthday, we celebrated you, your show, your dreams, and talked about all the plans you had for the future.”
He continued, “We ended the night with a hug, telling you how proud we were and how much we loved you.”
Nicola went on to express that she wished she could re -live the happy memory with her late brother or sister.
“If I had known that would be the last time I would see you, I would have said so much more. I wish I could step into a time machine and re -live that night and embrace you tighter, hold your smile and voice, ask more questions, and write it all down so we never forget,” he wrote. “Hope you are happy, in peace, and know how deeply you are loved. I miss you every day, and I don’t think there will never be a day I am never.”
Nicola finished the post with a birthday wish for Liam, adding, “So today, on your birthday, I want to wish you the happiest heavenly birthday. Wherever you are, hope you celebrate and hope you scored a few strikes too.”
Then he signed the post with “Love You Always.”
Liam died in October 2024 after falling from a third -floor balcony at the Palermo Casasic Hotel in Buenes Aires. The singer “Strip that down” was set to rest at a private funeral held in Amersham, England in November of the same year. The funeral was attended by close friends and family as well as his former Band One Direction band Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson.
Liam Payne’s sister, Ruth Gibbins, posted a heartbreaking and emotional tribute to her late brother, calling her a “best friend” and apologizing for failing to “save her”. Following Liam’s death, Nicola was among many mourners who responded to the tragic news By Instagram Tribute.
“When I saw the news appeared on my phone that you left I went cold, I wanted so much to be false,” wrote Nicola in October 2024. “I have spent days hoping it was a mistake and someone got it wrong. You were really too good for this earth, you are an angel who lived for making people smile and happy.” ”” ””
He added, “You have always shown kindness to everyone you met and it shows with how many people have confirmed what we always knew!”
