Neeson started to date Helen Mirren In the early 80s after they met on the set of the movie Hecalibur. Their relationship lasted for five years after he eventually run his course.

Neeson and Mirren met both when they were cast in 1981’s Hecalibur. The character portrayed Gawain, while Morgan played Le Fay.
“I remember being on the set and standing with Ciarán Hinds as Helen walked towards us dressed in her full Morgan le Fay uniform and we both went, ‘Oh f ***,’” Neeson remembered Graham Norton Show. “I was buckled. I think there was a ciarán too, but I was very bursting!”
Mirren responded, “I never knew that. You’ve never told me that before – it’s amazing.”
Neeson also made a playful wip for Mirren starting to fancy her.
“Before I met her and worked together, I had read somewhere if she fancied a man, that he would imitate his walk behind her back and I turned around one day, and she did it for me,” he said.

After the Spark fired while filming, Mirren and Neeson began dating and moving in together. She remembered a holiday with the actor and shared some of her favorite memories of going camping.
“We would drive down to France, find a campsite and Liam would cook breakfast,” the actress remembered Graham Norton. “Can you imagine Liam in a tent? It’s 6-foot-4!”

Neeson and Mirren called it quit in 1985. The reason for cutting them was simple – things didn’t work out.

Nearly a decade after his split of Mirren, Neeson walked down the flank with Natasha Richardson in 1994. They welcomed Micheál’s son in 1995 and his son Daniel in 1996.
Richardson died in March 2009 after suffering a head injury in a ski crash in Canada. She was 45 years old.
“They say the hardest thing in the world is to lose someone you love,” Neeson wrote on Facebook in 2016. “My wife died unexpectedly. She brought so much joy to me. She was my everything.”

“Natasha was a great actress, a great mother, a loving woman and a hurricane of energy, with an infectious love of life first expressed by his wonderful deep laughter,” he said in a statement at the time. “Anyone who knew her will mourn today. Hopefully, Liam and her sons get help in their pain from the love and sympathy that comes to them from people around the world.”
Neeson was privately mourning Richardson’s death with his sons. A year later he was associated with public relations executive Freya St. Johnston. They split in 2012.
