Leeds and Newcastle shared their boots in a tight and largely inevitable clash of the Premier League to Elland Road, without any side capable of breaking the deadline in a tie.
The first half was Cagey and low in possibilities. Leeds sought to say -soon by the rhythm of Giacomo Gnonto and James, both who provided a threat to the flanks.
Despite these efforts, Newcastle’s defensive structure limited the home side to speculative attempts from a distance, the most prominent is Stach, that its long -range efforts closely lost the goal.
The best possibility of 45 -minute opening was from Osula, the strike of which was a quarter -quarter -quarter -line mark on the line Gudmundsson on the line, keeping the level of marker.
Livamento and Murphy handed crosses to dangerous areas, but visitors struggled to find a final touch, leaving the goalkeeper of Leeds goalkeeper largely.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with little clear possibilities and both teams are largely canceled.
Leeds sought to explode the pace of Calvert-Lewin, which was created by Harrison at the end of the game. In the 75th minute, Harrison took a very weighted step on Newcastle’s defense, leaving Calvert-Lewin one by one with the pope.
The first touch of the striker, however, was too heavy, allowing the goalkeeper to intervene and preserve the stop. Just before the final whistle, Bogle found Calvert-Lewin again in space, but the Pope quickly reacted to a crucial savings nearby, ensuring that the score was 0-0.
In the meantime, Newcastle showed flashes of promises through its wide players and opportunities as a whole. While Howe lacked forward, Barnes and Elanga bank options offered a rhythm and possible threats to the late game.
The Magpies created little on the way to tangible possibilities, and the blocked effort of Osula remained their most significant attack. Farke’s team continued to promote, gaining potentially dangerous pieces, but lack of a clinical advantage in front of the goal caused those opportunities to nothing.
The draw leaves Leeds United in tenth place, ahead of its next equipment against Fulham on September 13, while Newcastle remains 15th and will have to wait until after the international break to pursue the first victory of the season when they welcome Wolves.
