How did England act in your previous match of ICC Champions 2025?

England was stunned by Afghanistan in his previous match at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and his campaign in the competition ended. The three lions lost the game against the Afghans by 8 runs in Lahore. In a game full of dramatic turns, England remained little in his 326 persecution and faced a painful departure.

Afghanistan won the launch and chose the baptism first in the game. They put a large total of 325/7 on the board, thanks to a historic 177 that came from 146 balls from the Ibrahim Zadran workshop.

Despite a triple triple of Jofra Archer (3/64), Afghanistan recovered through crucial contributions from Ibrahim Zadran, Hashmatulllah Shahidi (40), Azmatullah Omarzai (41) and Mohammad Nabi (40 of 24). Ibrahim Zadran beat brightly and worried the English team. Recorded the highest individual score in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy

Chasing the goal, England lost Phil Salt (12) and Jamie Smith (9) ahead of time. Joe Root, however, played a magnificent 120 of 111 balls, his first century since 2019, to keep England hunting.

Ben Duckett (38), Jos Buttler (38) and Jamie Overton (32) provided support, but the Afghan bowls continued to collect doctors at regular intervals. Azmatullah Omarzai (5/58) turned the party in favor of Afghanistan, dismissing the root at a crucial moment and wrapping his tail when England threw himself by 317 runs in 49.5 points.
