Lamine Yamal is humble to follow the footsteps of Lionel Messi and Neymar and inspirer Children in their love for football.

The young man, 17, is still in the early stages of his career, but after having emerged on the global stage after helping Spain to win the Euro 2024 last summer, he has continued his remarkable career with Barcelona this season.

Yamal has scored 14 goals and added 22 assists with the side of Hansi Flick still chasing crockery on three fronts.

Yamal’s parents keep him on the ground

Yamal’s profile has skyrocketed for the past two years and admits to his parents to keep him on the ground despite the obvious temptations.

He added: “My parents were my references in everything. Everyone always tells me that I have a little bit of my mother and a little of my father. I think on the pitch I have a lot of my father and off the pitch, I have a lot of mother.

“They are two people I have grown up with and have taught me everything. They have fought for me. The affection my father has for me is unimaginable. Thanks to him, I learned the love he has for the family, because he is a person who gives a lot of love for people.

“So I think everything I have and that I will have is thanks to them. I always say that I can never thank them fully, but I will try.”
