Young Australian wicketkeeper Lachlan Shaw took a stunning catch while charging forward in the Big Bash League match 35 between Adelaide Strikers and Sydney Sixers. However, he took this catch when he was playing in the deep and not as a keeper.
During the late innings of the Adelaide Strikers, the left-arm seamer Ben Dwarshuis bowled a full delivery on the off stump to the batsman Alex Ross. It was a length delivery that Ross tried to hit hard towards the short mid-on boundary.
The ball went very high in the air and kept spinning. Lachlan Shaw, who was playing deep square, raced in from the boundary and made a fantastic dive at the end to take the ball cleanly with both hands.
