Kristin Davis shares a humiliating SATC scene from ‘The Chicken Dance’

Kristin Davis looks back at a very embarrassing moment that happened while filming Sex and the city.

In the Chapter July 28 of its podcast“Are you Charlotte?” Davis, 60, looks back at filming the seventh episode in the second season of the show, “The Chicken Dance.”

Remembering a dance scene in a wedding, Davis revealed that the chapter’s director, Victoria HochbergShe spent a good piece of the scene “shouting” in her scene partner to “grab his ass.”

In the episode in question, Davis’s character, Charlotte York, has the relationship of warp speed with Martin, a man he meets in marriage. At one time, she asks if she wants to meet his parents, to which Charlotte responds positively.

She finishes dancing with his father, played by the scene partner.

“So then the last scene filmed from this whole wedding sequence was I dancing with the father at the wedding,” said Davis.

“First of all, everyone is frivolous,” he continued. “My point of view (at the time) is that number 1, I have to dance with this older guy who is going to feel my hut, I die about. Okay. No. 2, everyone is beyond fatigue.”

The scene was the “last thing” that had to be shot, he added. “When I look out towards the camera, all I can see is a row of crew members sleeping at the bottom of this, as, you know, you would have liked half a wall that would go around a dance floor

Everyone else was “frivolous” of shooting for so long, Davis continued. And then Hochberg “shouts at this man alone,” he said. “She’s far away across the room, and I feel he could have had bulls. She’s like, ‘hard, harder, more, grab his ass, grab his ass,’ and I’m just like, ‘God, the shame factor is so high’, and it’s close to it.”
