The ancient legend of the western Indies, Chris Gayle, recently shared his reflections on the Kohli virating decision to retire -from the test cricket. In May 2025, Kohli stunned the whole world of Cricket when he suddenly announced his retirement from the test cricket, the most estimated format.
The former Indian Captain ended his glorious test career on May 12 after an illustrious stage of 123 games and a large number of 9.230 runs in his name. When reacting to Kohli’s movement, Gayle believes that his former RCB teammate turned away from the test cricket too early.
The Great West Indies also mentioned that the game would feel the absence of Kohli in the whites, given his height and the impact on the game. Gayle described Kohli as one of the greatest figures in the sport, and emphasized that his retirement left a massive gap in the test game.
