Shot kohli has reported the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) of his intention to remove from the test cricket. The decision, which comes a few weeks before the crucial five -party testing series of India in England, has sent the shock waves through the Fraternity of Cricket and left the selectors who urged Kohli to reconsider his move.

According to several reports, the BCCI has confirmed that Kohli announced his desire to leave the longest format a few days ago. “He has thought and informed the advice that he is going to the test cricket. The BCCI urged him to rethink -as the England tour is approaching. A high BCCI official was cited in The Indian Express.
Kohli’s decision closely follows the heels of Removing Rohit Sharma from the test cricket Earlier this week, leaving the India test on the shores of a major transition. With the two potentially absent veterans, the Indian team faces the perspective of a great order to greatly inexperienced for the next series.

Kohli had already retired from T20 International after the victory of the Indian World Cup last year, although he continues to stun at the IPL 2025, accumulating 505 runs in 11 games this season at a strike of 143.46.
