KL Rahul recently revealed his first reaction after Shubman Gill was announced as a new test captain in an interaction at Sony Sports Network. He made:
“ I contacted Shubman the minute that the team was announced and, when it was announced (as) the Captain. (I told him) that you will always find me around, any help, any orientation, if you need someone with whom I share something or speak, I am always there. But I think you need to give people their space to follow their intestinal instinct.If they need help, I am always there.
“We have been together. (Yes) We do not get results in our way, somewhere on the way, everyone makes mistakes. This will not change. We will try to help everyone on the team. I am always there.”
